Stafford Showground Limited is seeking to appoint a Site Manager
Core Hours – 40 hour week 8am to 5pm with one hour break
Extensive weekend and evening overtime paid at time and a half with double time on Sundays and Bank Holiday
Hourly Rate of Pay – Subject to Experience & Qualifications
Holiday Entitlement – 25 days
Applicants must reside within a 30-minute drive of the Showground due to operational necessity
Job Description – To lead, supervise and direct a small maintenance and cleaning team responsible for preparing and cleaning the exhibition halls and conference suites prior to and following events, care of the grounds including grass cutting and basic cultivation as well as general maintenance of the buildings, fixtures and fittings.
The Site Manager will need to be computer literate, have a range of practical skills including being familiar with the operation of plant and machinery including JCB Loadalls, ride on lawn mowers and tractors. Have a basic understanding of health and safety legislation and COSHH. Although a “hands on role” the incumbent will be part of the Showground management team and thus required to interact with our events team and customers and attend some event planning meetings.

The Showground is seeking to appoint a self-employed Bookkeeper with responsibility for the following:
- Posting purchase invoices
- Raising sales invoices
- Posting receipts and supplier payments
- Maintaining sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Quarterly VAT Return
- Payroll
It is essential that the person appointed has at least five years experience with both Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll and is AAT qualified
Experience of working with a charity and/or in the agricultural sector is desirable
The initial requirement will be for four hours per week with flexibility as to both the day of the week and whether it is morning or afternoon. The role will be office based. Start date by mutual agreement
The rate of pay is subject to negotiation.
